Commercial pools and spas have high traffic use. Keeping these sparkling clean and sanitary requires volumes of chemicals. Some commercial projects today still have traditional surfaces (concrete, plaster, fiberglass and pebble finishes); the chemical overloads required to keep them clean also create susceptibility to staining and etching and cause the surfaces to breakdown because they are porous. Commercial spas are also subjected to high heat temperatures and typically have to be drained, acid washed and then cleaned every two weeks – this necessary process is extremely destructive to traditional (porous) pool surfaces.

Why are ecoFinish™ coatings different?
Simple. ecoFinish is a non-porous barrier solution. ecoFinish™ coatings are pneumatically applied using a patented thermoplastic flame spray system which creates a permanent, soft-to-the-touch surface that virtually eliminates most
of the issues associated with traditional (porous) pool surfaces – this includes pool pH balancing issues caused by high chemical use.
ecoFinish™ creates a PH neutral surface that typically requires less chemicals resulting in reduced maintenance and running costs of pools, spas and/or aquatic features. ecoFinish coatings are hard wearing and cannot be damaged by
acid washing.
Best of all, commercial projects completed with ecoFinish™ coatings require less downtime to get up and running again – with ecoFinish its simply ‘Balance and Swim’ as opposed to the 2 week period required for traditional (porous)
finishes to receive a ‘hot start’.

ecoFinish™ coatings are rated as NSF/ANSI Standard 61-Drinking Water System Component. This UL classification includes product testing to ensure they do not leach contaminants into the water.
